Itinerary

Departing our local area, we journey south with suitable comfort breaks en route before arriving at the port where we board the ferry for our afternoon crossing to the Isle of Wight. After disembarking, we continue our journey to Shanklin and the Channel View Hotel which will be our base for the next 4 nights.

Departing the hotel after breakfast we travel to Whippingham and enjoy a visit to the historic church, before continuing our journey to Osborne House. Enjoy the beloved seaside retreat of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as we step back in time and tour the opulent State Rooms where heads of state and royalty once dined, furnished precisely to the Queen’s sophisticated tastes. Gain intimate insights into royal family life in the private apartments, including the sitting room balcony where the family listened to nightingales, and Queen Victoria’s bedroom, the very place she passed away in 1901. Conclude your visit with a stroll to Osborne Beach, where you can peek into the Queen's original private beach, along the way, you will pass the Swiss Cottage and the Tree Avenue.

Today we travel to Havenstreet, where we enjoy a journey on the Isle of Wight Steam Train, which is a multi-award-winning heritage railway and museum, an unforgettable adventure through time.

Today we have a scenic tour of the island to include Ventnor and the pretty village of Brighstone via Mottistone Manor and Gardens, Compton Bay, Freshwater Bay and Yarmouth, returning across the centre of the island to Shanklin.

Departing the hotel, we journey to the ferry terminal at Fishbourne for our crossing to the mainland. After disembarking, we continue our journey with comfort breaks en route to arrive home late afternoon.
