Today we have a leisurely morning at the hotel, why not take a morning stroll, before we journey to Paignton in the afternoon to catch the ‘Christmas Train of Lights’. The festive illuminated journey starts at Queen’s Park Station, Paignton, where a steam train with vintage carriages awaits you - decorated with thousands of lights, both inside and out, fifteen minutes later, once you've had time to settle back into your seat, you will arrive at Churston Station where the show begins. As the anticipation builds and minutes after leaving Churston, you will be propelled through the 450-metre Greenway tunnel that leads you to the enchanted forest which will be transformed by a multitude of lights. The stunning show ends as you leave the forest only to be greeted by the twinkling lights of Dartmouth reflected on the river Dart. After a turnaround at Kingswear and with the opportunity to disembark and take photographs from the platform, you will be on your way back to Paignton to experience the spectacle from a different direction.

After our breakfast we depart for our morning excursion, before returning to the hotel for tea, coffee and cake in the lounge. In the evening, we enjoy a five-course Gala dinner and dance the night away before seeing in the New Year with the Chimes of Big Ben and Auld Lang Syne.

After a night of celebrating and welcoming 2026, we have a relaxing day around the hotel, why not take a morning stroll and enjoy the views. In the afternoon we enjoy tea, coffee and cakes in the hotel lounge, before our evening meal and entertainment.

After breakfast we sadly say farewell to the Livermead Cliff Hotel, with fond memories of our New Year celebrations, making our return journey with suitable comfort breaks en route to arrive home approximately late afternoon. Happy New Year to you all.
