oday we travel through the Cheshire countryside to visit one of the most beautiful churches at Marton before continuing to the picturesque village of Alderley Edge. Offering a fabulous range of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, Alderley Edge is famed for being home to the rich and famous and known as the Champagne capital of Britain, one of the wealthiest towns in the UK. Returning to the hotel, we enjoy carol singing by the local choir with a warming glass of mulled wine. After dinner there is a Heritage Walk for those who wish. For those wishing to attend Midnight Mass, details of local church services will be available.

‘Merry Christmas’ this morning, enjoy a celebratory Bucks Fizz breakfast and free time in the hotel, before our traditional Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings. This afternoon, relax and listen to the King’s Speech with coffee and mince pies. Finish the day with a hot buffet and festive quiz.

Today we take a scenic drive to Knutsford, a quaint and quirky market town and the proud home to numerous independent retailers. We return to the hotel in time for a traditional Tea Dance with Cream Tea. In the evening, we finish the celebrations with a Cheshire and Derbyshire themed dinner (set menu) followed by evening entertainment.

Departing the hotel after breakfast we make our return journey with a break for lunch in Bakewell before continuing our journey to arrive home approximately late afternoon.
