Join us for the day as we enjoy a visit to Sandringham House & Gardens nestled in
the heart of The Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Visit the eight main ground floor rooms inside Sandringham House, with a Jacobean-style
exterior built by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, the House has a collection of
treasures ranging from the pre-Victorian era to the present day and is surrounded by
seasonally glorious gardens.
Enjoy the 60 acres of formal Gardens, which serve as a private retreat for the Royal Family
and their guests, when they are in residence. Each Monarch has left a personal mark on the
landscape, giving visitors a unique look into their individual passions and styles.
While five generations of Monarchs in the UK have made a lasting impact on the planting
within the Gardens, the layout remains very much as it was back in 1863 when King Edward
VII and Queen Alexandra purchased the Estate.
Visit the beautiful medieval parish church of Sandringham; St Mary Magdalene, which is
considered to be one of the finest carrstone buildings in existence and its present form dates
back to the 16th century. It is used regularly as a place of worship by The Royal Family when
in residence, most notably at Christmas time and has held many celebrations, such as Princess
Charlotte’s christening, as well as memorials to members and relations of The Royal Family
from Queen Victoria onwards.
Enjoy the museum which is situated in the former coach houses and stable block, where a
small collection of vehicles that have been used as part of the Royal Household are on display.
The Shop, Restaurant and Terrace Café in the Courtyard are open for you to
purchase gifts and refreshments.
