Enjoy the sights and commentary on board, along the route there is the chance to spot wildlife including seals, otters, bird life – and if we are lucky, dolphins too! After our cruise, free time is available to explore Inverness, enjoy the landmarks of this vibrant, bustling, modern city including its Castle and Cathedral.

This morning, we journey to Aviemore where we make a break to explore this popular bustling town, located in the northwest corner of the majestic Cairngorms National Park surrounded by towering mountains, sparkling lochs and dense forests. Later we step back in time at Britain’s first open air museum – the Highland Folk Museum. Experience life in the Highlands from the 1700s to 1950s with over 35 historical buildings to explore.

Departing the hotel we enjoy a scenic journey to Fort William for our included return train journey along the celebrated West Highland Line to Mallaig. This spectacular line passes hidden lochs and inlets, silver sands, and crosses the magnificent Glenfinnan viaduct. On arriving in Mallaig free time is available for you to explore and soak up the atmosphere of a working fishing port before catching the train for the return journey to Fort William. On arriving in Fort William we re-join the coach for our journey back to the hotel.

Departing the hotel after breakfast we enjoy a relaxing drive through unspoiled scenery past Loch Mhòr and along Stratherrick to Fort Augustus. On arriving in Fort Augustus, we are treated to the breath-taking vista of Loch Ness in all its natural wonder with an included cruise on board the ‘Royal Scot’ with commentary.
