The Tyrol is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas of Austria, renowned for its majestic mountain peaks, picturesque valleys and lush green meadows, along with picture postcard villages. Our tour is based in the charming little village of Kirchberg, an ideal location, well positioned in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps.

Your Hotel

The family run Zentral Hotel, renowned for its warm welcome and comfort, is located in the centre of Kirchberg, built in the traditional chalet style. Each of the en suite bedrooms are equipped with TV, WiFi, safety box and hairdryer. Most rooms have a balcony, and many have views of the surrounding mountains. Other facilities at the hotel include sun terrace, restaurant, bar, games room and the comprehensive wellness area. The hotel is served by a lift. Please note that not all continental hotels have a hospitality tray.

Itinerary

Departing our local area we journey to Folkestone to board our mid-morning Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. On arrival in Calais we journey to our overnight hotel, for dinner, bed and breakfast.

Departing after breakfast we continue through Germany, crossing the Rhine at Karlsruhe via Stuttgart and Munich. Ahead we see the Alps and after crossing the border near the Wilder Kaiser mountains we reach our destination at Kirchberg and the Zentral hotel.

Today is a free day in Kirchberg to make use of the excellent leisure facilities and familiarise yourself in this beautiful resort, soak up the atmosphere, relax by the lake and visit its bars, quaint cafes and selection of shops.

Departing the hotel after breakfast, we enjoy a circular day tour of natural wonders journeying to the Pinzgau region of Austria to see Europe’s highest waterfall at Krimml. The waterfall cascades over three stages, falling more than 1,200 feet. Continuing our journey, we cross the Gerlos Pass and travel into the Zillertal Valley we spend time in Mayrhofen a popular year-round resort, with a blend of traditional charm and modern amenities at the entrance to five glacial valleys. Our scenic day concludes by traveling along the Inn Valley through Wörgl and Westendorf, before returning to Kirchberg.

Departing the hotel after breakfast we journey to the delightful resort of Zell am See, nestled on the lakeshore and surrounded by mountains, with breathtaking views of Zell Lake, glaciers, snow covered Alps and crystal clear water, it really is a little hidden gem. Enjoy a delightful experience during a boat cruise on the lake and savour the mountain scenery from a truly unique vantage point, enjoying tranquil moments on board. Discover the pretty town with its shops, cafés and restaurants serving food typical of the region and enjoy a relaxing stroll.

Today we journey to the picturesque old-world town of Kitzbühel, nestled between the Kitzbühel Horn and the Hahnenkamm, a Medieval delightful little town, surrounded by alpine scenery with a wealth of cafes and interesting shops. In the afternoon, we return to Kirchberg for free time.

Departing the hotel after breakfast we bid farewell to the Austrian Alps and enjoy a scenic journey to our overnight stay for dinner, bed and breakfast.

Departing the hotel after breakfast, we journey to Calais for our mid-afternoon Eurotunnel crossing. On arrival in Folkestone, we continue our homeward journey to arrive early evening.
