Itinerary

Departing from our local area we journey across to Cheshire where we make a lunch break at the Bridgemere Garden Centre, before arriving at Bodelwyddan Castle for our 4-night stay.

Departing the hotel we travel through the scenic Welsh Mountains and Towns of Denbigh, Bylchau and into the Snowdonia National Park at Pentrefoelas, Gwydyr Forest Park and Betws-y-Coed where we make a break. We continue our journey along the Conwy Valley to the lovely Welsh town of Llanrwst, before following the River Elwy to Llanfair and Talhaiarn, prior to returning to the hotel.

Departing the hotel after breakfast we travel to Chester, a historic walled city known for its Roman foundations, two-tiered shopping galleries and Britain’s most complete city walls. Free time is available, before our included two-hour river cruise. Sit back and relax on this tranquil cruise, with Afternoon Tea included as we make our way out of the city and into leafy Cheshire countryside. Upstream of Chester, the River Dee meanders through the Eaton Estate, the ancestral home of the Duke of Westminster. We make our turn at the picturesque Aldford Iron Bridge and then sail back downstream to the city. Enjoy the scenery and the wildlife, whilst listening to an informative sightseeing commentary sharing interesting facts and stories about the river and its surroundings.

Today is a free day to enjoy all the facilities and entertainment at the hotel.

Departing the hotel after breakfast we make our return journey, with suitable comfort breaks en route, to arrive home approximately late afternoon.
