Itinerary

: Departing our local area we journey south with suitable comfort breaks en route to the port where we board the ferry for our afternoon crossing to the Isle of Wight. After disembarking, we continue our journey to Shanklin and the Channel View Hotel which will be our base for the next 4 nights.

Today we have a scenic tour to include Ventnor and the pretty village of Brighstone, where we can visit the small museum and thatched cottages. We then pass Mottistone Manor and Gardens, Freshwater Bay and Yarmouth, returning across the centre of the island to Shanklin.

Departing the hotel we travel to Whippingham, where we have an included visit to the church prior to visiting Osborne House which is a former royal residence in East Cowes. The house was built between 1845 and 1851 for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home and royal retreat.

Today we travel to Havenstreet where we enjoy a journey on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway which is a multi-award winning heritage railway and museum. After our visit we travel to West Cowes which is the maritime gateway to the Isle of Wight and is known for both it’s rich Royal heritage and its sailing and ship building.

Departing the hotel, we journey to the ferry terminal at Fishbourne for our crossing to the mainland. After disembarking, we continue our journey with comfort breaks en route to arrive home late afternoon.
