Marks and Spencer Archive & White Rose Shopping Centre which includes Marks & Spencer Superstore

Join us for the day as we journey to Leeds to discover the Marks & Spencer Archive, before our visit to the White Rose Shopping Centre, which includes a Marks and Spencer superstore, opened in 2023.

The Marks & Spencer Archive is a nationally accredited collection of over 70,000 items documenting the history of the retailer, housed at the University of Leeds, featuring unique artefacts, historic garments, films and photographs from the archive collection. The exhibition tracks the journey of M&S from market stall to Penny Bazaar to international retailer and serves as a resource for researchers, fashion enthusiasts, and the public, showcasing M&S’s impact on retail and fashion.

After our visit to the archive, we journey to the White Rose Shopping Centre, home to over 120 high-street stores and restaurants, where you have free time to enjoy lunch and shopping.
