Departing after breakfast we journey to Strasbourg where free time is available to explore before we join the MS Gérard Schmitter for our all inclusive 7 day river cruise. Boarding commences at 6pm and after settling into your cabin, you can meet the crew and enjoy a welcome cocktail. This evening the ship will sail through the night.

Today enjoy free time in Cochem, a charming pretty town overlooked by an imposing fairy tale castle. Rising high above the town, the castle’s many spires and walls stand out against the green trees. Explore the old town, made up of quaint squares, winding alleys, half-timbered buildings and imposing town gates.

During the morning we cruise along the Moselle and arrive in Koblenz, characterised by cosy wine taverns, narrow alleyways, romantic spots and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. In the afternoon, enjoy exploring the old city in the company of a hostess.

In the morning we sail to Rüdesheim one of the Rhine’s most famous riverside towns. Enjoy some sightseeing by the little road train or visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum, explore the bustling streets, including the famous Drosselgasse, which is lined with traditional bars.

In the morning we sail towards Mannheim, often called the “City of Inventions” because of the automobile, the bicycle and the tractor. Free time is available here to explore this city, which impresses with a host of architectural treasures, including the Baroque Palace, historic Water Tower and an Art Nouveau square. Tonight, we enjoy the Gala evening, before sailing to Strasbourg through the night.

After breakfast we disembark in Strasbourg at 9am and re-join our coach to journey to Reims for free time and our overnight hotel for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. Explore this city rich in history, art, and culture, indulge in the charming cafes, and vibrant atmosphere.

Departing after breakfast we journey to Calais for our ferry crossing to Dover. On disembarking in Dover, we continue our journey with suitable comforts breaks to arrive home early evening.
