Today we journey to Aachen famous for its 2000-year- old cathedral, free time is available here to explore this historic city. After lunch we return to Valkenburg for a free afternoon for you to enjoy the Christmas Markets. After our evening meal, if you wish, enjoy the Christmas parade of beautiful floats and dancers in Christmas costumes move through the streets of Valkenburg.

We depart the hotel after breakfast for our visit to the delightful town of Monschau nestling along the river below the Eifel Mountains. After browsing around the shops and quaint cobbled streets we return to Valkenburg.

After breakfast, we make our way to Calais before boarding the ship where we have included a main meal on board including tea/coffee. On disembarking in Dover, we continue our journey home to arrive early evening.
