The Isles of Scilly lie just off the coast of Cornwall but seem like a world apart, uncrowded and unspoilt, every inch of these 200 low lying isles form an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Everything looks and feels quite different on Scilly – simpler, kinder and life moves at an easier pace. Cornwall has long been famous for its climate, glorious beaches and spectacular scenery.

The Esplanade Hotel, which boasts a sought-after position overlooking stunning Fistral Beach, in Newquay offers contemporary bedrooms with modern furnishings, and a fantastic selection of leisure facilities. The en suite bedrooms are equipped with TV , hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is a large restaurant and an open plan lounge, both with panoramic sea views. A lift serves all floors.

Itinerary

Day 1 -

Departing our local area we journey south with suitable comfort breaks en route to the 4-star Esplanade Hotel at Newquay, which is perfectly located with outstanding views of Fistral Bay.

Day 2 -

Our excursion today takes us to Truro, the county town of Cornwall, where the most striking feature is the cathedral, free time is available here before we travel to Falmouth. Enjoy free time in the historic fishing town of Falmouth with its picturesque narrow streets and harbour prior to returning to the hotel.

Day 3 -

Departing the hotel, for the highlight of our tour, we journey to Penzance Harbour and board the ferry to the Isles of Scilly. We can relax and enjoy the stunning views and if we are lucky enough, we may even be joined by a playful pod of dolphins. On disembarkation, enjoy a short walk to Hugh Town to explore the shops, eateries and galleries. We return to Penzance on the late afternoon ferry to re-join the coach for our journey back to the hotel.

Day 4 -

Today our excursion takes us to the pretty town of St. Ives, free time is available here to explore its picturesque harbour, beautiful beaches and galleries. Departing St. Ives, we have a coastal drive via Portreath and St. Agnes, before returning to the hotel.
