Itinerary

Departing our local area, we journey to north Wales and Holyhead for our afternoon cruise to Dublin. Departing Dublin, we journey to the 4-star Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan for dinner, bed and breakfast.

Departing Stillorgan, after a leisurely breakfast we take a truly scenic drive through Ireland to arrive in Killarney. We have plenty of time to settle into our hotel, the Killarney Towers before our evening meal.

Departing the hotel after breakfast, our full day excursion takes us around the Ring of Kerry with its rugged Atlantic coastline and its majestic mountains – this must be one of Europe’ s finest scenic areas. Our journey begins in Killorglin, home of the world’s oldest market and famous Puck Fair to Kerry Bog Village, continuing through Cahersiveen and Waterville where lunch can be taken in one of the many restaurants en route. We continue through Derrynane overlooking Ballinskelligs Bay to Caherdaniel, Sneem and on to Moll’s Gap. The winding road passes Ladies View (look out for the fearless Leprechauns) prior to returning to the hotel.

Today is a free day in Killarney, there is an opportunity for those who wish, to join us on a jaunting car ride through the National Park (no other vehicles permitted) and a cruise on the lake of Killarney (extra cost).

Today we have a full day excursion to the Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head offering some of the wildest natural scenic beauty in Ireland. Since the 1930’s, the Dingle Peninsula has hosted the filming location of major motion pictures, including Star Wars – The Last Jedi, Far & Away & Ryan’s Daughter to name a few. We travel in the direction of Tralee over the mountains to Castlemaine, home of the ‘Wild Colonial Boy ’ , continuing down to Dingle, a fishing village whose most famous resident is ‘Fungi’ the dolphin, we have a circular tour around the most Westerly tip of the peninsula. At Slea Head, the Blasket Islands come into full view, returning to Dingle for lunch and sightseeing before continuing back to Tralee where free time is available.

Departing after breakfast we make our scenic journey across Ireland for our first break in Adare, continuing via Limerick, Nenagh, Roscrea, Kildare and the Curragh to arrive at the 4-star Trim Castle Hotel for dinner, takeaway breakfast and overnight stay.

Sadly, we bid farewell to Ireland and travel to the port of Dublin for our early sailing to Holyhead. Due to the early start, we have included a later breakfast/brunch as you cruise over the Irish Sea. On disembarking at Holyhead, we continue our journey with adequate comfort breaks en route to arrive home early evening.
