Itinerary

Departing our local area we journey to Rochester, for free time before arriving in Faversham and the Judd’s Folly Hotel.

Today after breakfast we journey to historic Canterbury, where the skyline is dominated by the stunning cathedral. Wander the winding streets and browse the shops before departing for our coastal drive to Herne Bay and Whitstable before returning to the hotel.

Departing after breakfast we journey to Hythe, where free time is available to explore this market town before we board the train at Hythe station to Dungeness, set against the backdrop of some of Kent’s most picturesque countryside is what makes a journey on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway a totally unique experience. The coach will meet us at Dungeness for our scenic return journey to the hotel through the Romney Marsh’s pretty villages and rolling countryside.

Departing the hotel after breakfast we visit Chilham, renowned for its beauty and charm, this Kentish village lies high above the valley of the River Stour in the picturesque Kent Downs. An incredibly ancient spot, with narrow lanes, which rise from the valley to emerge into the beautiful open space of Chilham square. Surrounding this medieval gem are timber framed houses of Tudor origin, the 16th century church and the imposing Chilham Castle, with its exceptional views across the Stour Valley. Leaving Chilham we return to Faversham for free time to explore.

Departing the hotel after breakfast, we travel to Cambridge for free time and lunch, before making our return journey to arrive home approximately late afternoon.
