Itinerary

Departing our local area, we journey to Scotland with suitable comfort breaks en route to Wemyss Bay for our ferry crossing to Rothesay. On arrival in Rothesay, we travel to the Glenburn Hotel for our stay.

Today is a day at leisure, with so much to see on this wonderful island. Walk along the promenade, visit the Tourist Office and Visitor’s Centre, Bute Museum, Rothesay Castle, Bute Yard and the Distillery, along with its independent shops, cafes and Victorian atmosphere and much more.

Today we depart for Mount Stewart House, which is set within 300 acres of gardens and grounds including a private beach. After our visit we explore the south of the island to Kingarth and Kilchatton Bay, before a scenic drive across the island via Loch Fad prior to returning to the hotel.

Today we have a beautiful island tour to include Ardscalpsie, (where we may even get a glimpse of the seals), views of the Sound of Bute, Isle of Arran, Inchmarnock Island, Ettrick Bay with views of Kyles of Bute before returning to Port Bannatyne and the hotel.

Departing the hotel after breakfast, we make our way to the ferry port from Rothesay for our crossing to Wemyss Bay. On arrival, we disembark and make our journey home with suitable comfort breaks en route to arrive late afternoon.
