After a leisurely breakfast, we make our way to the charming and stylish city of Chichester. Free time is available here to explore the 600-year-old Cathedral with its striking arches and stained-glass windows or maybe wander around the attractive high street and peaceful Canal. Leaving Chichester, we make the short drive to the attractive riverside town of Arundel, for free time. Combine one thousand years of history with independent shops, contemporary art galleries, restaurants, cafes and attractions, making this a great spot to spend the afternoon.

Departing the hotel after a leisurely breakfast, we make the short journey to Southsea for the highlight of our tour – a Hovercraft flight across the Solent to the Isle of Wight seaside resort of Ryde. The short crossing features the 'Hovercraft Experience' where you have the chance to meet the pilot and crew who will talk you through how the craft works before showcasing the abilities of the craft including 360 degree turns, deflating the skirt to 'float like a boat' and a flight around local landmarks including forts used in the World War. With long, spacious stretches of sandy beach, a thriving independent shopping scene and restaurants, Ryde is a quirky mix of a traditional seaside fun, Victorian architecture and unexpected hidden gems! One of the UK’s original seaside destinations and much loved by Queen Victoria. Enjoy Ryde at your leisure, before our return hovercraft crossing back to Southsea later in the afternoon.

Departing after breakfast we journey to Portsmouth for a free day to explore this historic city. Visit the Dockyard, home to Lord Nelson’s HMS Victory and numerous naval museums (extra cost to visit attractions), spend time shopping in Gunwharf Quays, a rejuvenated area with bars, shops and restaurants or climb the Spinnaker Tower for incredible panoramic views. This historic city has plenty to offer with its long naval and maritime history.

Departing the hotel after breakfast we make our return journey, with suitable comfort breaks en route, to arrive home approximately late afternoon.
